According to Xinhua, during a visit to the Kashmir region on September 2, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif declared that India's unprovoked shelling across the border was an act of aggression against the people in this disputed region.
The statement came amid an increase in cross-border shelling, causing civilian casualties on both sides.
"Pakistan has been constantly updating the international community on the provocations, ceasefire violations and human rights violations in Kashmir by Indian troops. The increased shelling by India along the Line of Control (LoC) and the Provisional Border Area in recent days is a threat not only to innocent civilians, but also to the peace and security of the region," said Nawaz Sharif.
According to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the country is drawing the attention of the United Nations and the international community to the above violations.
