The new Peugeot 208 consumes 2 liters of oil per 100 km

The Peugeot 208's record was set at the end of April at Peugeot's Belchamp test track in France, under the supervision of French authorities UTAC.

Peugeot 208 BlueHDi sets record for fuel consumption |
Accordingly, a production Peugeot 208 using a 1.6-liter BlueHDi 100 engine, Euro 6 emission standard, 5-speed manual transmission, was put to run a distance of 2,152 km in 38 hours. Several drivers took turns driving the car, each driving for about 3-4 hours.
Although Peugeot officially announced that the car has a fuel consumption of 3 liters/100 km and low emissions of only 79g/km when using Michelin Energy Saver+ tires, the actual fuel consumption is much lower. Specifically, only after running the above 2,152 km distance, the 43-liter fuel tank was empty, and the actual average consumption of the upgraded Peugeot 208 is only equivalent to 2 liters of oil/100 km - a number that even a hybrid car (gasoline/oil combined with electricity) can dream of!
