Breaking up a gang illegally producing thousands of drug pills every day

On April 10, Hai Phong police said they had just discovered and broken up a group illegally producing drugs, seizing a large quantity of drugs.

In particular, this group produces drugs without any process or measures to prevent chemical reactions that can easily cause poisoning and harm users.

Through grasping the situation, at 4:00 p.m. on April 8, at house number 10/32 Nguyen Huu Tue, Gia Vien, Ngo Quyen, Hai Phong, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (PC47) - Hai Phong Police caught Nguyen Van Nam red-handed for illegally producing and trading drugs.

The seized exhibits included 1,300 finished ecstasy pills (385.19 grams), 2.066 kg of ketamine and pre-mixed ingredients (equivalent to 8,000 pills), stamping machines, dryers, and other means and tools used to illegally produce drugs.

Expanding the investigation, PC47 arrested and searched Doan Thanh Trung (born in 1982, residing at 204, 2nd floor, alley 9/278 Da Nang, Van My, Ngo Quyen, Hai Phong) for illegal drug trafficking (accomplice in illegal drug trafficking with Nguyen Van Nam).

Previously, the authorities discovered that Nguyen Van Nam was unemployed and had a relationship with Nguyen Dinh Hung (born in 1973, registered permanent residence and residence at 1/15/21 Nguyen Huu Tue, Ngo Quyen, Hai Phong), the leader of a group of people illegally storing, trading, and producing drugs, who was arrested by PC47 on December 9, 2016 in Project 312T.

To conceal his crime, Nam rented a house at 10/32 Nguyen Huu Tue, Gia Vien, Ngo Quyen, Hai Phong, from July 2016 to illegally produce drugs.

Nam used ketamine, marijuana, modern medicine, adhesives, colorants, additives... as raw materials; bought stamping machines, grinders, dryers, molds, and other related items to produce drugs.

On average, Nam produces about 1,000 drug pills per day, supplying them to addicts at bars and karaoke bars in the city.
