Cockfighting ring raided on the second day of Tet, 72 gamblers arrested, nearly half a billion dong seized
On the afternoon of January 30, Tay Ninh Provincial Police announced that they had just dismantled a large-scale gambling den in the form of cockfighting and sic bo gambling led by Tran Quoc Tien (residing in Thanh Phuoc Commune, Go Dau District).
Through professional work, at 12:45 on January 30, the Criminal Police Department of Tay Ninh Provincial Police presided over and coordinated with the Mobile Police Department of the Provincial Police and the Go Dau District Police to raid a cockfighting arena and a dice shaking place where money is won or lost, at Rong Tuong Hamlet, Thanh Phuoc Commune, Go Dau District.
At the scene, the police seized evidence including: 488 million VND, 1 car, 140 motorbikes, dice shaking tools, 25 chickens and many other related documents and evidence. The police arrested and invited 72 related subjects to work.
Through investigation, the subjects initially confessed that the casino was led by Tien, attracting dozens of gamblers to gamble.
