Foreign traders who illegally collect agricultural products must be punished.

Regarding the situation of Chinese traders strongly collecting Vietnamese agricultural products and food, Mr. Nguyen Loc An, Deputy Director of the Domestic Market Department, affirmed that according to the law, foreign traders are not allowed to directly collect Vietnamese agricultural products.

According to Mr. An, most Chinese traders who collect in Vietnam now represent their companies in China and have signed contracts to buy agricultural products with Vietnamese traders. They have the right to be present to check the quality of the products.

However, if any case is found to be present to directly collect, the local authorities must resolutely handle it.
