Rapist arrested after nearly 10 years on the run

(Baonghean.vn)- After the incident was exposed, Nguyen Hoang Toan fled the area. After nearly 10 years on the run, Toan was arrested in Dak Lak.

On the afternoon of October 1, the Criminal Investigation Department (PC52) of the Provincial Police handed over Nguyen Hoang Toan (born in 1976), residing in Cat Van commune, Thanh Chuong, to the authorities for investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.

Nguyen Hoang Toan was wanted by the investigation agency in 2007 for rape after he fled the area. Toan was arrested while hiding in Dak Lak in a recent case of PC 52.

The subjects were transferred to PC52 headquarters on the afternoon of October 1.

During this mission, Team 3, Department PC52 also successfully arrested Nguyen Thanh Binh (born in 1984), residing in Bac Thanh commune, Yen Thanh, wanted for theft since 2015; Dao Van Lanh (born in 1991), residing in Giai Xuan commune, Tan Ky, wanted for robbery in 2016; Lo Van Ty (born in 1996), residing in Con Cuong district, wanted for intentional injury. Of which, Binh and Lanh were arrested while hiding in Binh Duong province; Ty was arrested in Ben Tre province.
