Pham Van Quyen becomes assistant coach of U19 SLNA
(Baonghean.vn) - After winning the 2020 National U17 Football Championship with the Song Lam Nghe An U17 team, Coach Pham Van Quyen will continue to accompany this group of players to participate in the 2021 National U19 Championship Qualifiers as assistant coach.
According to the regulations of the Organizing Committee, all players participating in the 2021 National U19 Tournament must be born in 2003 or later. With this regulation, the players of the SLNA U19 team are the players who just won the 2020 National U17 Championship.
Notable are the U17 Vietnam players born in 2003 such as striker Cai Van Quy, Ho Van Cuong, Dao Ngoc Tu, Dinh Xuan Tien, Nguyen Cong Huy and Nguyen Van Bach - the best player and Nguyen Canh Tiep - the best goalkeeper of the National U17 Tournament. Among them, Xuan Tien, Van Cuong and Van Quy just participated in the National U21 Tournament and won the runner-up position.

This year, U19 SLNA is led by head coach Pham Bui Minh and assistants: Dinh Van Dung, Le Ky Phuong, Pham Van Quyen, Le Ky Dai and Tran Quang Dung. This is the fourth consecutive year Van Quyen has been assigned the task. Previously, the former Vietnamese football prodigy contributed to bringing high achievements.
In 2020, U19 SLNA only won a bronze medal, but this year with the current generation of players, Nghe An fans are hoping that coach Pham Bui Minh and his team can change the color of the medal, ending the thirst for the U19 championship that has lasted for 15 years.
