Distributing rice to support students in Nghe An

(Baonghean) - On December 25, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 6301/QD-UBND on the allocation of rice to support students in Nghe An. Accordingly, 2,222,850 kg of rice (Two thousand two hundred and twenty two tons, eight hundred and fifty kg of rice) was allocated to districts, towns and cities in Nghe An province to support students at schools in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions in the first semester of the 2013-2014 school year (with attached list).

The Provincial People's Committee requested the Nghe Tinh State Reserve Department to organize the transportation and delivery of rice directly to the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns according to the allocation list, ensuring quality and timeliness; assigned the Department of Education and Training, the People's Committees of related districts, cities and towns to coordinate with the Nghe Tinh State Reserve Department to organize the reception and distribution of rice to schools in the area, ensuring timeliness, convenience and saving transportation costs; Directed and inspected the timely reception and distribution of rice to the correct students receiving support.

The Provincial People's Committee supports the cost of transporting rice from the district center to the commune center and villages in mountainous districts. In the immediate future, the District People's Committees will proactively allocate local budgets to transport rice to students.

The People's Committees of districts synthesize the need for funding to transport rice and send it to the Department of Finance for consultation and submission to the Provincial People's Committee for support decision.
