Distributing rice to support people during Tet

(Baonghean) - The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued Decision No. 466/QD-UBND dated January 31, 2015, deciding to allocate 3,349 tons of rice to the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns in the province to support hungry households during the Lunar New Year 2015.

Accordingly, the Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns organize the reception of rice from the State Reserve Department and are directly responsible for directing and inspecting the reception and provision of rice to households facing hunger in communes, wards and towns, ensuring timely, correct subjects, correct policies and completing the provision of rice to households before February 9, 2015 (ie December 21st of the lunar calendar). The Provincial People's Committee supports the cost of transporting rice from the district center to the commune center and villages for mountainous districts. In the immediate future, the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns will proactively allocate local budgets to promptly transport rice to relieve hunger for the people.
