Assignment of tasks to members of the National Election Council

National Assembly Chairwoman and Chairwoman of the National Election Council Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has just signed a Resolution assigning members of the National Election Council.

Accordingly, the assignment of tasks to the 21 members of the National Election Council is as follows:

1. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan -The Chairman of the National Assembly and the Chairman of the National Election Council are responsible to the National Assembly for leading and directing election work nationwide; leading the activities of the National Election Council; convening and chairing meetings of the National Election Council.

Directing election work in Can Tho, Hau Giang and An Giang provinces.

2. Mrs. Tong Thi Phong-The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Election Council assist the Chairman in managing the regular work of the National Election Council and related matters regarding personnel work and operations of the Office of the National Election Council.

Directing election work in Quang Ninh and Lang Son provinces.

3. Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh- The Vice President and Vice Chairman of the National Election Council are responsible for directing and guiding emulation and reward work during the election process.

Directing election work in Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh and Thai Binh provinces.

4. Mr. Truong Hoa Binh -The Deputy Prime Minister, Vice Chairman of the National Election Council, is responsible for assisting the Chairman of the National Election Council in coordinating work with the Government, directing personnel work of the Government, Government agencies, People's Council deputies of provinces and centrally run cities, and guiding the election of People's Council deputies at all levels.

Directing election work in Dien Bien province and Hanoi city.

5. Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan -Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman of the National Election Council, responsible for personnel work of the Fatherland Front bloc, consultation and introduction of candidates for National Assembly deputies; guiding the consultation and introduction of candidates for People's Council deputies and the work of contacting voters and campaigning for elections.

Directing election work in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces.

6. Mr. Phung Quoc Hien-The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and member of the National Election Council is responsible for directing the personnel work of National Assembly deputies; in charge of the Personnel Subcommittee and handling complaints and denunciations.

Directing election work in Lai Chau, Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces.

7. Mr. Do Ba Ty -The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and member of the National Election Council is responsible for directing and coordinating with the National Assembly Standing Committee in election inspection and supervision; directly in charge of the Subcommittee on Security, Order and Social Safety.

Directing election work in Da Nang City and Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh provinces.

8. Mr. Uong Chu Luu -The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and Member of the National Election Council is responsible for guiding the implementation of laws and election laws; in charge of the Subcommittee on Legal Documents and Information and Propaganda.

Directing judicial personnel work and election work in Hoa Binh and Son La provinces.

9. Mr. Pham Minh Chinh -Head of the Central Party Organizing Committee, member of the National Election Council is responsible for directing the work of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies under the Central management.

Directing election work in Vinh Phuc and Phu Tho provinces.

10. Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong -The Chairman of the Party Central Inspection Commission and member of the National Election Council is responsible for directing the work of guiding, examining, verifying, and concluding complaints and denunciations against candidates for National Assembly deputies, the qualifications of elected National Assembly deputies, and People's Council deputies at all levels.

Directing election work in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.

11. Mr. Ngo Xuan Lich -The Minister of National Defense and member of the National Election Council is responsible for directing the work of ensuring national defense and security; directing officers, soldiers, defense workers, reserve forces, and militia and self-defense forces to participate in election activities.

Directing election work in the army and in the provinces of Cao Bang, Bac Kan, and Thai Nguyen.

12. Mr. To Lam -The Minister of Public Security, member of the National Election Council, is responsible for directing the work of ensuring security, order and social safety during the election process.

Directing police officers and soldiers to participate in election activities.

Directing election work in the Public Security and in the provinces of Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong.

13. Mr. Tran Van Tuy -Members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee, and Members of the National Election Council are responsible for coordinating with the National Assembly Standing Committee in allocating the number of elected National Assembly deputies; determining the structure and composition of those nominated as candidates for National Assembly deputies; and receiving and reviewing dossiers of candidates for National Assembly deputies.

Directing election work in Hung Yen, Hai Duong provinces and Hai Phong city.

14. Mr. Nguyen Hanh Phuc- Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Head of the Office of the National Assembly, Member of the National Election Council, Chief of the Office of the National Election Council serves the activities of the National Election Council and the Subcommittees of the National Election Council in the work of electing National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies; is responsible for directing and coordinating with relevant agencies to help the National Election Council allocate election funds; ensures material facilities to serve the activities of the National Election Council.

Directing election work in Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces.

15. Mr. Le Vinh Tan -The Minister of Home Affairs, member of the National Election Council, is responsible for directing and coordinating with relevant agencies and organizations to assist the Government in directing and guiding the election of People's Council deputies at all levels.

Directing election work in Kien Giang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces.

16. Mr. Truong Minh Tuan -Minister of Information and Communications, Member of the National Election Council, is responsible for directing information, propaganda and election campaign work.

Directing election work in Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang provinces.

17. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha -The President of the Vietnam Women's Union, a member of the National Election Council, is responsible for directing the Presidium of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Women's Unions of provinces and centrally-run cities in introducing female candidates for the National Assembly and People's Council deputies according to the provisions of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies; directing the work of mobilizing women nationwide to participate in election activities.

Directing election work in Tra Vinh, Soc Trang and Ben Tre provinces.

18. Mr. Bui Van Cuong -Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, member of the National Election Council, is responsible for directing trade union organizations nationwide in mobilizing cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, and union members to participate in election activities.

Directing election work in Long An, Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc provinces.

19. Mr. Lai Xuan Mon -Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, Member of the National Election Council, responsible for directing Farmers' Union organizations nationwide in mobilizing farmers to participate in election activities.

Directing election work in Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan and Phu Yen provinces.

20. Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc -The President of the Vietnam Veterans Association, member of the National Election Council, is responsible for directing the Vietnam Veterans Association and Veterans Association organizations nationwide in mobilizing Veterans Association members to participate in election activities.

Directing election work in Tien Giang, Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces.

21. Mr. Le Quoc Phong -Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, member of the National Election Council, is responsible for directing the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Youth Union and Vietnam Youth Federation organizations nationwide in mobilizing union members to participate in election activities.

Directing election work in Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue provinces.
