With the food production target of 1 million 165 thousand tons in 2014, of which the summer-autumn crop is over 438 thousand tons, this summer-autumn crop, the whole province has arranged to plant 96 thousand hectares of rice, 16 thousand hectares of corn, in addition to peanuts, sweet potatoes, beans of all kinds. In the complicated and irregular weather conditions, the agricultural sector advocates continuing to use high-yield, stable rice varieties from previous crops and rapidly expanding the area of ​​high-quality, short-term rice varieties, planting as early as possible and putting safety first.

Speaking at the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted: Summer-autumn production is closely related and dependent on weather developments. Therefore, it is necessary to continue to have reasonable direction based on experience from previous production seasons. For specific areas and land, it is necessary to have appropriate intensive farming measures. In particular, it is necessary to resolutely direct not to sow rice directly; have measures to prevent drought and saltwater intrusion for summer-autumn production. In pest control, it is necessary to strengthen inspection and control to promptly detect and prevent on a small scale.
