(Baonghean) - At 7:00 p.m. on the 29th of the Lunar New Year, at Hamlet 8, Dien Thinh Commune (Dien Chau), while Ms. Hoang Thi Kieu was preparing to go to the temple, she discovered that the Airblaide motorbike parked in front of her house had been broken into by 4 strangers and sped away.

Witnessing the loss of property right in front of her, Ms. Kieu chased after her, shouting in vain. Immediately after that, Ms. Kieu remembered that her motorbike had been installed with Viettel's smart anti-theft and motorbike monitoring device. She immediately called the Commune Police and Viettel Call Center to find out the direction of the motorbike's movement. Just a few minutes later, Dien Thinh Commune Police arrived, at the same time Viettel Call Center also reported the direction of the motorbike's movement. Immediately, her family and the Commune Police searched. At the same time, Ms. Kieu used her phone to call the SIM number installed on the motorbike. At this time, the motorbike was illegally locked, so it continuously emitted signals, and the thief tried to break it to disable the device. However, because the motorbike owner called to activate the remote power-off device, the motorbike could not start anymore and the thief had to leave the motorbike on the side of the road and run away.

The abandoned motorbike was found on the road to Nghi Yen commune (Nghi Loc), so after the Nghi Yen commune police came to coordinate and resolve the matter, the motorbike was handed over to the people in a damaged condition. Thus, thanks to the support of smart positioning and monitoring devices and the quick efforts of the commune police, only 30 minutes after the loss, the motorbike was found, only 10 km from the loss location. Receiving the motorbike back, Ms. Hoang Thi Kieu was very excited: The motorbike was a large asset that the couple had saved up for a long time to buy. Luckily, after purchasing it, as a sales agent and being advised by Viettel staff to install the above equipment, they had the opportunity to find the lost motorbike so unexpectedly quickly.

Mr. Cao Xuan Tuan, Head of Dien Thinh Commune Police, said: The incident happened, although it was Tet holiday, but as soon as the family reported it, the Commune Police arrived very quickly and organized forces to search. Indeed, at first, the Commune Police also zoned off the search radius but could not determine the direction of the thief. Fortunately, thanks to the active support of the smart surveillance device provided by Viettel, the vehicle's travel route was determined, thereby organizing the search more quickly and conveniently. In this incident, Viettel's device played an extremely important role and the police force arrived in time to immediately find the citizen's property, the only regret was that the thief could not be caught.

It is known that thanks to this device, a number of people across the country have quickly recovered their lost motorbikes. In Nghe An, this is the first case of a lost motorbike being recovered in the fastest way. This new and smart service of Viettel has been applied since September 2014. Up to now, Viettel Nghe An has provided over 500 sets of equipment to the market. The advantage of this device is quite clear, those in need only need to go to a motorbike shop or Viettel store to buy the device and ask a mechanic to install it themselves; at the same time, meet Viettel staff to guide them on how to download the software to their device. After installation, when the key is turned on or the vehicle is illegally impacted, an alarm will be sent. Through SMS messages, customers can know the location and review the vehicle's journey. If they have a smartphone, the application is even greater when they can track the location and travel route of the vehicle at any time. In addition to the anti-theft warning feature, the device also helps car owners review their journeys, find their cars in the parking lot, find ATMs, remind them that the machine is out of money, or warn them when they are driving at a speed exceeding the allowed speed limit.

With an initial fee of only 1.55 million VND/set of equipment for the first year and 300 thousand for each year thereafter, consumers can be completely assured of their assets. To install the equipment, customers can go to Viettel stores or call the hotline 1900.8098 for advice.
