France: Horrific accident, at least 42 people died
(Baonghean.vn) - The Guardian reported on October 23 that at least 40 people were killed in a collision between a bus and a truck in southern France.

The accident happened at around 7:30 a.m. local time near the town of Puisseguin, about 40 miles east of Bordeaux.
Local media reported that the victims were mostly elderly people on the bus. The Associated Press also quoted an official as saying that the accident caused many deaths because the bus caught fire immediately after the collision. About 60 firefighters were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Full information on the number of passengers on the bus and their nationalities is not yet available.
French President François Hollande called it a "terrible accident." Prime Minister Manuel Valls and Transport Minister Alain Vidalies were at the scene of the accident on the morning of October 23 local time, The Guardian added.
