Fined 50 million VND for publishing books without a publishing decision

The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Information and Communications has just issued Decision No. 74/QD-XPVPHC imposing an administrative fine of VND 50 million on Duc Tien General Trading Service Company Limited for publishing a publication without a publishing decision.

Accordingly, Duc Tien General Trading Service Company Limited (Business line: Wholesale of books, newspapers, magazines, printing...) published two publications without a publishing decision. Those publications are: "Historical comics to supplement knowledge for primary school students: President Ho Chi Minh" and "Historical comics to supplement knowledge for primary school students: Hai Ba Trung".

Decision on administrative sanctions against Duc Tien General Trading Service Company Limited

Decision to apply mitigating circumstances: Duc Tien General Trading Service Company Limited voluntarily remedied the consequences; actively helped authorities detect and handle administrative violations.

Pursuant to the provisions of Point b, Clause 4, Article 19 of Decree 159/2013/ND-CP (dated November 12, 2013) of the Government regulating administrative sanctions for violations in press and publishing activities; for each violation, Duc Tien General Trading Service Company Limited was fined 25 million VND. The total fine is 50 million VND./.
