The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided to fine the organizer of the Miss Vietnam Beauty Businesswoman 2020 contest VND90 million.
Mr. Tran Huong Duong, Deputy Director of the Department of Performing Arts, confirmed the information that the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) issued Decision No. 1/QD- XPVPHC dated January 13, 2021 on administrative sanctions in the field of culture against Khong Tuoc Entertainment Tourism Investment Company Limited for organizing the contest.Miss BusinesswomanVietnam Beauty 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City on November 18, 2020 without a license to organize.
Accordingly, based on Point c, Clause 4, Article 14 of Decree No. 158/2013/ND-CP dated November 12, 2013 of the Government regulating administrative sanctions in the fields of culture, sports, tourism and advertising, the Ministry Inspectorate imposed a fine of VND 90 million on the organizer of the Miss Businesswoman contest.beautyVietnam 2020.

Previously, the Deputy Director of the Department of Performing Arts said: "The Department did not grant a license for this contest. We have sent a dispatch to the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to resolve the matter. The cultural inspectorate will check and verify the violations. Then they will recommend a fine and the Department will handle it. The Department will handle the contest to the extent of its violations."
"In case the organizers of the Miss Business Beauty pageant show signs of fraud, the Ministry's inspectors will transfer the case to the police for investigation and handling according to criminal law," he added.
At the end of December 2020, Ms. QL - Miss Vietnam Beauty Business 2020 said that she and other contestants had to spend billions of dong for the contest. Specifically, according to information from Ms. QHL, each contestant had to pay 18 million dong in registration fees and pay more depending on the title they wanted. Ms. QHL also wondered why the contest awarded her the beauty queen crown, and also the queen crown.
To win the title of Miss, Ms. L. spent no less than a billion VND. She said that along with her Miss title, the contest awarded 3 runners-up, 1 Miss Ao Dai, 1 Queen, and about 20 other secondary prizes. According to Ms. L.'s research, the Queen title is worth1 billion VND, higher than the price of beauty queen.
Ms. QL said that the contest was organized too haphazardly. On the final day, the contestants were rushed from Vung Tau to Ho Chi Minh City because Vung Tau did not allow the event. "Not only that, on the final night, about 20 contestants out of 40 contestants went up on stage to receive the crown," she said.
