Vietnam Education Newspaper fined 50 million VND for false information
On October 21, Deputy Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Information and Communications Do Thi Tinh signed and issued Decision No. 1057/QD-XPVPHC on administrative sanctions against the Vietnam Education newspaper.

The newspaper's violation was "providing false information, causing very serious consequences" when it published the article "'High Chair' plus 'Dwarf Culture' = ?" on October 17.
With the above violation, the Inspectorate applied the provisions at Point a, Clause 5, Article 8, Decree No. 159/2013/ND-CP dated November 12, 2003 of the Government regulating administrative sanctions for violations in the field of press and publishing.
Accordingly, Vietnam Education newspaper was fined 50 million VND and forced to remove the above article.
In addition, this newspaper must correct false information and has the right to complain or file an administrative lawsuit against this Decision according to the provisions of law./.
