Launching the "Pride of Vietnam" contest for children
On November 22, in Hanoi, the Center for Supporting and Developing Vietnamese Children - Central Council of Young Pioneers in collaboration with Tosy Robot Joint Stock Company launched the "Pride of Vietnam" contest among children nationwide.

Contestants are Vietnamese children aged 7-15, studying and living at Teams, Palaces, Children's Houses, Youth Activity Centers and in residential areas nationwide.
Students will answer nine multiple-choice questions and one essay on the topic “Pride of Vietnam.”
Deadline for entries is January 10, 2014.
The closing ceremony and award ceremony are expected to take place in mid-February 2014. The place to receive the entries is the Vietnam Children's Support and Development Center (7th floor, 64 Ba Trieu, Hanoi).
The competition is organized from the Team bases, ensuring fun, creativity, health, and high educational value.
The contest is a useful and practical activity, contributing to the innovation of the activities of the Youth Union and the Young Pioneers, gradually implementing the propaganda and education work for children about the traditional values of the nation.
By participating in the contest, students will learn and gain more knowledge and understanding about national history, scenic spots, and national historical relics.
In addition, students will also learn about historical figures, cultural heritages, scientific research works, and intellectual products of the Vietnamese people, such as the Declaration of Independence read by President Ho Chi Minh in 1945, the Dien Bien Phu campaign that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world" commanded by General Vo Nguyen Giap, and the noble Fields Prize of Professor Ngo Bao Chau...
From there, foster in them love for their homeland and country, national pride, form in them a sense of responsibility as the young generation of the country in the new era, contributing to promoting the image of Vietnam to international friends.
With multiple choice and essay tests, students not only gain more knowledge but also express their feelings, pride and desire to contribute to building their homeland in the spirit of "Young people do small things."
The contest is also a form of education and training for children to become good children, good students, good team members, good children of Uncle Ho, striving to become members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, future owners of the country.
The contest's jury consists of experienced experts and scientists such as History Professor Le Van Lan, Doctor of Science Doan Huong, representatives of the Central Council of Young Pioneers and the Ministry of Education and Training./.
