Launching the Vietnam Talent Awards 2013
The Organizing Committee agreed to expand the Award for products participating in the competition of technology applications on mobile devices.
On the morning of May 8, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Talent Awards 2013 launched the Vietnam Talent Awards 2013. This is an award organized by the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group and several other units in the fields of Information Technology, Applied Science, Medicine and Environment.
Launched in 2005 until now, the Vietnam Talent Award continues to be a playground for individuals and units with successful IT products and highly applicable IT products with two main systems of competing products: Successful IT products and Promising IT products.

In addition to the two main product groups above, in 2013, the Organizing Committee agreed to expand the Award for products participating in the competition of technology applications on mobile devices. It can be said that technology applications on mobile devices are the current development trend of the IT industry and are also the concern of most young people who love IT. The opening of this award is to encourage authors, especially young people, to develop their sensitivity and creativity in approaching new technology products.
In the field of Applied Science and Medicine, the Award is awarded to the author or group of authors of outstanding research works or groups of works in natural sciences (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, life sciences, Earth sciences) or Medicine that have been applied in practice to achieve significant socio-economic results.
The new feature this year is that the Award continues to expand into the field of Environmental Protection. The Award will be awarded to a collective or organization in the community (which can be a collective of members of a mass association, a collective of students, club members, etc.), a business or an agency (referred to as a collective) with outstanding achievements in environmental protection activities and has successfully built a green residential area (all types of waste are recycled and reused or treated to standards).
The Organizing Committee still maintains an attractive award system with 1 First Prize (100 million VND), 1 Second Prize (50 million VND) and 1 Third Prize (30 million VND) in the field of Information Technology. In the field of Applied Science and Medicine, each field has 1 prize worth 100 million VND. In the field of Environmental Protection, there will be three levels of awards: First Prize (100 million VND), Second Prize (50 million VND) and Third Prize (30 million VND) awarded to collectives that successfully build green residential areas at the scale of districts, towns, cities of the province.
The time for receiving entries is from November 21, 2012 to August 31, 2013. The judging process is from September 1 to November 19, 2013. The award ceremony and product exhibition will be held in Hanoi on November 20, 2013.
