Launching the 2nd National Award for Foreign Information 2015

On the morning of December 17 in Hanoi, the Central Propaganda Department and the Steering Committee for External Information Work officially launched the 2nd National External Information Award 2015 (journalism field).

Mr. Pham Van Linh - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department officially announced the launch of the second national award on foreign information.

Press works submitted for the award in Vietnamese and foreign languages, intended for foreign audiences or Vietnamese people abroad, published in mass media licensed by competent Vietnamese State agencies, or in foreign press, during the period from January 1 to December 31, 2015.

Journalistic works must ensure authenticity, accurate information, high persuasiveness, have domestic and international influence, be well-regarded by public opinion; and effectively contribute to Vietnam's foreign information and propaganda work.

The organization of the “Second National Award for Foreign Information 2015” aims to continue affirming the important position and role of foreign information work; at the same time, creating motivation for reporters and press agencies to actively participate in foreign propaganda work. Strengthening the connection and coordination between press units. Increasing the effectiveness in implementing the foreign propaganda tasks of the Party and State.

The works submitted for the competition must be accompanied by a general introduction in Vietnamese, including the main content, the context of creation, highlighting the discovery, the influence, the appeal... For printed newspapers and electronic newspapers, it must be the original print or a copy from the printed newspaper or electronic newspaper but must be clear. Television works recorded on DVD or USB; radio works recorded on CD; clearly state the name of the unit, author, work, and broadcast time.

For press photo works, along with photos published in newspapers and magazines, must be accompanied by enlarged photos on photo paper measuring 18cm x 24cm (single photo) and 12cm x 18cm (group photos or photo reports)...

Press agencies, ministries, branches and localities, Vietnamese representative agencies abroad, Vietnamese friendship organizations and domestic and foreign authors send their entries before March 31, 2016 to the standing agency of the Second National Award for Foreign Information, Vietnam Television, at the address: 43 Nguyen Chi Thanh, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.
