Launching song composition about traffic safety

This year's traffic safety songwriting contest was launched by the National Traffic Safety Committee in April 2012. The theme aims to socialize and diversify forms of propaganda through works of art to build a good image of the functional forces and the masses in ensuring order and traffic safety, while at the same time conveying the provisions of the law on traffic safety into the art and literature genre, gradually raising awareness and responsibility for law enforcement, building a civilized lifestyle when participating in traffic. The songs composed include the following themes: Waterway traffic safety is "For the peace of rivers and streams"; road traffic is "Peace on the roads"; railway traffic is "Peace on the trains".
Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Huynh Thanh Dien said that although the number of traffic violations and accidents in the first 7 months of the year has decreased (traffic accidents decreased by 28.8%, deaths due to traffic accidents decreased by 38.8%), traffic safety in the province is still a complicated issue, as long as the authorities are lax, violations and traffic accidents will increase immediately. Therefore, he suggested that musicians and artists devote themselves to composing many quality works so that through new songs, they will once again raise people's awareness of traffic safety.

On August 21, 2012, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 3175/QD-UBND-NC establishing an Organizing Committee to launch the contest with 13 members. Contest entries will be sent to the Professional Department (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) from the launch date (August 22) to September 24, 2012.
