Typically, in 2024, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province and the Standing Committee of the Catholic Solidarity Committee in Nghe An province jointly organized the groundbreaking ceremony to build a "Great Solidarity House" for Mr. Tran Van Lam's family in Hamlet 9, Son Hai Commune (Quynh Luu).

Mr. Lam is a parishioner of Van Thai Parish, living in difficult circumstances, with a seriously degraded house, and his family has to stay with relatives. The level 4 house was built on an area of 50m2, with a budget of about 400 million VND, not only helping Mr. Lam's family have a safe place to live before the flood season, but also demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, "good life, good religion" of religions.

Most Venerable Thich Tho Lac - Standing Member of the Executive Council, Head of the Central Cultural Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province said: Promoting the tradition of patriotic devotion to religion, devoting oneself to practicing religion in the homeland of Nghe An, in the coming time, Nghe An Buddhism will continue to uphold the tradition of living together in harmony, selflessness and altruism, considering the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province as the common home of all monks, nuns and Buddhists; building pagodas not only as religious establishments, but also as cultural centers, centers of solidarity of the entire people associated with promoting the development of spiritual cultural tourism, eliminating superstition.

Buddhist monks, nuns and followers are closely attached to the Party, government, Fatherland Front, departments, branches and organizations at all levels; unite other religions and people from all walks of life; actively participate in movements to benefit the country and the people, for the goal of building a pure, good, civilized and happy homeland.

Concerns and expectations

Through conversations with monks and religious administrators in the province, many opinions expressed the hope that in the coming time, social security and charity activities of Nghe An Buddhism will go into more depth with many specific models to spread widely in social life, not just launched in waves such as floods, natural disasters or important holidays...

In addition, pagodas and religious centers need to actively coordinate closely with local authorities, propagate and mobilize Buddhists to actively clear land, donate land to open roads, improve the appearance of rural and urban areas, etc. and other activities to help the province and localities effectively implement socio-economic development policies.

On the other hand, in the digital age, when the world is increasingly connected in cyberspace, Nghe An Buddhism needs to accompany and encourage monks, nuns, and Buddhists to apply information technology in Buddhist activities, spreading Buddhist teachings and culture.

However, the application of digital technology to propagation work needs to be done selectively to spread the spirit of compassion - wisdom and humanistic values of Buddhism to Buddhists, especially the youth.

Along with that, constantly raise vigilance against plots and tricks of bad elements aiming to divide internally, affecting the great national unity and the fine traditions of the Buddhist Sangha.
