Issuing a special stamp set about General Nguyen Chi Thanh

On the morning of December 31, the Ministry of Information and Communications coordinated with the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province to issue a special stamp set "Commemorating the 100th anniversary of General Nguyen Chi Thanh's birth". The stamp set features a portrait of General Nguyen Chi Thanh on the background of the Quyet Thang flag, measuring 32x43cm and 200x110mm, designed by artist To Minh Trang.

At the launching ceremony, a representative of Vietnam Post Corporation presented the General's family with three sketches made during the design process of this stamp set.

Mr. Le Si Minh, Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Thua Thien-Hue province, said: “Postage stamps are one of the major activities to honor historical figures who have contributed to the country and the revolution. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of General Nguyen Chi Thanh’s birth, the issuance of the stamp set has the meaning of educating revolutionary traditions and praising the great contributions of the General.”
