Detected 136 cases of electricity theft, recovered over 1.2 billion VND

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 20, Nghi Loc District Electricity and Police held a conference to review 2 years of ensuring security and safety in the electricity sector.

In the past 2 years of implementing the Coordination Regulation, the District Police and Nghi Loc Electricity have closely coordinated in ensuring the security and safety of the power grid system. The two units have organized many campaigns to educate people to comply with regulations on electricity use, and mobilized people to sign a commitment not to violate, steal electricity or violate power grid safety.

The district power company regularly exchanges information on violations of the law related to the power grid so that the district police can be proactive in prevention and combat. Conduct investigations to clarify many cases related to the safety of the power grid corridor system.

From 2015 to present, the two units have detected over 136 cases of electricity theft and have drawn up records, handled violations, and recovered over 1.2 billion VND.

To better ensure security and safety in the electricity sector, at the conference, the two sectors signed a coordination charter, in which priority is given to developing and directing the implementation of plans to protect key projects in the electricity sector./.
