5 tons of pork fat and 200 kg of ham of unknown origin discovered in Nghi Phu
(Baonghean.vn) - At the time of inspection, the owner of the cold storage could not present any documents proving the origin of the aforementioned pork skin, fat and 200kg of ham.

On the afternoon of April 20, the Environmental Police Team of Vinh City Police inspected the cold storage in Hamlet 3, Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City owned by Ms. Vo Thi Tu (born in 1983, residing in Hamlet 7, Nghi Phu Commune).
During the inspection, the authorities discovered that the two cold storages contained about 5 tons of fat, smelly pork skin, and 200 kg of unlabeled finished sausages.

At the time of inspection, Ms. Tu could not present any documents proving the origin of the aforementioned pork skin, fat and 200 kg of ham.
Checking the drainage system in front of Ms. Tu's production facility and cold storage, the Environmental Police discovered that hundreds of meters of the ditch were covered with lard mixed with wastewater, forming a thick layer of scum and clumps about 30cm thick, emitting a foul odor that significantly affected the living environment of surrounding households.

The authorities have drawn up a record to temporarily detain all the above mentioned pork skin, fat and ham for handling according to regulations.
