Mr. Ho Khanh - the discovererSon Doong Cave, who joined the Royal Cave Expedition of the British Cave Research Association, said the expedition led by Dr. Howard Limbert discovered many caves during the week-long expedition.
According to Mr. Khanh, these 7 caves are located in places where very few people pass by and are named as Gio cave, Con Chay cave, Ky cave, Hai Cua cave.
"These caves are still primitive, with beautiful limestone stalactites. The length of the caves is being studied by the expedition team," said Mr. Khanh.
The cave complex in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park holds many records such as the area with the largest cave system; the most underground river systems; the cave with the largest cave arch; and the longest dry cave.
Son Doong Cave became world famous after a series of photos and reports about the cave exploration were published in National Geographic magazine in late 2010.
