Scientists conducted the experimental treatment on two male patients, one who was diagnosed with HIV 30 years ago and the other who tested positive in 2011.

Results showed that since being treated, both have shown no signs of deterioration in their health and the AIDS-causing viruses have not been found in their blood tests.

Scientists believe that introducing modified HIV genes into human cells may have stimulated an enzyme in the cells that neutralized the AIDS-causing virus, helping to eliminate signs of the disease in the two patients.

This enzyme will be the target of future research to develop effective drugs to treat HIV/AIDS. Due to changes in DNA coding, the virus cannot replicate in both cases, which is the result of spontaneous development between humans and viruses, also known as "endogenous".

Scientists believe that HIV treatment can be carried out through the endogenous process of HIV in humans, the persistent existence of HIV DNA is the key to the treatment and prevention of this dangerous disease.

This research has opened a new chapter in the fight against the disease of the century because up to now, treatment methods have followed the opposite direction, only seeking to destroy all HIV in human cells.
