Nearly 4kg of suspected marijuana was discovered in the immigration passenger's possession at the airport.
The Customs Department (Ministry of Finance) has just announced that it has seized 3,745 kg of suspected marijuana at the Da Nang International Airport Border Gate.
In order to strengthen the work of preventing smuggling and controlling drugs during the transition period and reorganizing the new apparatus, the Customs Branch of Region XII has directed specialized units and border gate Customs to arrange 100% of its staff to work... to fight against drugs, banned goods, and key goods.

At around 10:30 a.m. on March 15, during the inspection and control of the entry flight from Thailand to Vietnam via Da Nang International Airport, the working group of Da Nang International Airport Customs and other functional units discovered a Vietnamese passenger carrying suspicious checked and carry-on luggage, so they proceeded to inspect.
Through that, the working group discovered a suspicious item of marijuana with a weight of 3.745 kg including packaging, value yet to be determined.
Currently, the case has been transferred to relevant authorities for further investigation and handling according to regulations.
