(Baonghean.vn) - A ham production facility in Nam Nghia commune, Nam Dan district was discovered by authorities to be using excessive additives; another ham restaurant used spoiled intestines.
To implement the plan to inspect food safety and hygiene during the Lunar New Year and Spring Festival 2018, Nam Dan district has established an interdisciplinary inspection team to inspect and handle violations at establishments in the district.

During the first 3 days of inspection, the Nam Dan District Interdisciplinary Inspection Team directly inspected 5 ham production facilities, restaurants and meat shops in the two communes of Nam Nghia and Nam Giang.
Through inspection, the delegation discovered that two establishments did not strictly comply with food safety regulations, including a ham production facility that used additives exceeding the permitted level; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong's restaurant that used unsanitary food.
The delegation confiscated and destroyed 17 kg of bones, 2 kg of tamarind meat, and 6 kg of rotten tamarind intestines, and fined two establishments over 15 million VND.
