Discovered many rare ceramic artifacts

Many ceramic artifacts dating from the 14th - 16th centuries have just been discovered by the archaeological research team of Ha Tinh Museum in Nghi Xuan district (Ha Tinh).

The above group of rare and unique antiques were discovered and collected in the communes of Xuan Hoa, Xuan My and Xuan Vien in Nghi Xuan district (Ha Tinh).

The collections of antiques discovered this time were traditionally handcrafted in many different forms using ancient ceramic materials. Among them, the collection of ancient bowls and plates made of ceramic materials were crafted in the style of a cupped base, flared mouth, covered with jade and brown glaze, smooth and shiny glaze, decorated with lotus petal patterns, stylized flowers and vines, bearing the typical style of the Tran and Le dynasties.

In particular, there is an ancient plate from the Le Dynasty (indigo Le plate) made of ceramic, covered with ivory-white crackle glaze, decorated with blue floral motifs, large in size, with a mouth diameter of 25cm, a base diameter of 15cm. The inside of the plate is decorated with two closed concentric circles, the center is shaped like a floral pattern, the top has two concentric circles, in the middle are stylized floral and vine motifs connected evenly.

The two Tran Dynasty vases are made of colored ceramic, with a rounded mouth and flared base. The larger one is 40cm high, 20cm in mouth diameter, and 25cm in base diameter. The vase body is covered with dark brown glaze, with parallel, even vertical lines. The upper mouth is covered with a layer of reddish brown glaze, and is surrounded by two concentric embossed circles.

A jar made of thin, light ceramic, the outside is covered with ivory glaze, smooth, shiny opaque white, the mouth and base of the jar are close together, the two sides of the jar are bulging, 50cm high, 15cm mouth diameter, 20cm base diameter.

In addition, an ancient lamp stand from the Mac Dynasty (16th century) was discovered, made of opaque white ceramic, crackle glaze, square tower-shaped, the lamp stand is decorated with vine patterns, blue color, the body of the lamp stand has 4 sides decorated with stylized vine patterns, the 4 upper corners are decorated with unicorn heads, the upper surface is a stylized lotus symbol. The lamp stand is 40cm high. This is a three-color lamp stand from the Mac Dynasty, intricately and beautifully shaped, a unique and rare antique, found for the first time in Ha Tinh, adding to the Mac Dynasty antiques which are very rare in the whole country in general and in Ha Tinh in particular.
