500 kg bomb discovered in Long Son commune - Anh Son

(Baonghean.vn) - A bomb left over from the war, 1.2m long, 40cm in diameter, weighing about 500kg, has just been discovered.

On April 13, while constructing the foundation of Mr. Le Van Sy's house in village 10, Long Son commune, Anh Son district, the masonry team discovered a bomb underground.

Engineers carried the bomb to destroy it.

Mr. Sy's family reported to the local authorities and sealed off the scene. On April 14, the District People's Committee directed the district military command to coordinate with the engineering force and the local authorities to go to the scene and use manual methods to move the bomb to the destruction location. This is a bomb left over from the war, 1.2m long, 40cm in diameter, weighing about 500kg.
