Man's body found in pine forest

At about 4:30 p.m. on March 31, the People's Committee of Bai Son commune, Do Luong district received a report from local residents that someonedeathin the pine forest in hamlet 3.

The victim was quickly identified as Nguyen Ba Nam, residing in Hamlet 3, Bai Son Commune - Do Luong.

At the scene, the victim lay motionless, with a stab wound to the neck and a stab wound to the abdomen, bleeding profusely.

The victim's family said that early in the afternoon of the same day, Nam took a knife and went into the pine forest to scrape pine resin.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Nam was previously known as a good economic Secretary of the Youth Union, praised as "Leader of the 5-Khe Land". However, in 2020, he went to the South for a visit, and when he returned home, he showed signs of mental illness.

Before the Lunar New Year 2020, his family took him to Nghe An Mental Hospital for treatment for more than a month. After recovering and returning home, he stopped drinking alcohol and was slower than before. Nam's family suspected that he had stabbed himself to commit suicide.

On the afternoon of April 1, his family held a funeral for him according to local customs.

The case is currently being investigated by the authorities.
