Detection of emissions causing crop damage
(Baonghean.vn) - Hung Dong commune authorities and the environmental police team of Vinh city police have just handled a case of toxic gas discharge causing damage to farmers' crops.
At 5:00 p.m. on March 17, 2015, the local people reported that Pham Quang Vinh, born in 1971 and residing in Trung Thuan hamlet, Hung Dong commune, had ordered people to discharge compressed gas cylinders into the fields behind Hung Dong Kindergarten, causing damage to 4,000 square meters of spring rice and crops. Some of the vegetable fields in the greenhouse also had their leaves burned. Some people working in the fields downwind felt chest tightness and difficulty breathing when inhaling the exhaust gas.

The Hung Dong Commune authorities and the Vinh City Police Environmental Police team were present to inspect the scene and asked the subject to make a report of the incident. The city police environmental police team is currently continuing to investigate to determine what type of chemical the gas emissions are.
