Coordinate care for people's lives

In 2018, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has synchronously and effectively implemented the assigned functions and tasks. In particular, it has enhanced innovation in operating methods, focusing on the grassroots level to promote the strength of national solidarity and better care for people's lives.

The work of mobilizing, supporting the poor and supporting social security programs continued to have many practical and effective activities. In 2018, the "For the Poor" fund of the whole province mobilized 27.5 billion VND; built 673 new houses and repaired 344 "Great Solidarity" houses for poor households; supported nearly 13.5 billion VND to help poor households develop production, medical examination and treatment... Relief activities, helping people overcome the consequences of natural disasters with the receipt and distribution of more than 5.4 billion VND in money and goods.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels continue to promote propaganda and mobilize people to implement the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas". Up to now, the whole province has 86 villages, 216 communes, and 3 district-level units recognized as new rural areas; the rate of cultural families is 84%, and the rate of cultural residential areas is 68%.

The work of grasping people's thoughts and aspirations in the field of ethnicity and religion has been strengthened. In 2018, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels organized 103 propaganda and dissemination sessions on the Law on Belief and Religion with more than 6,300 participants; gradually mobilizing people to respond to patriotic emulation movements, socio-economic development, maintaining security and social order...

With the above achievements, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province was awarded the Excellent Unit Flag in 2018 by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Strengthening and promoting the strength of national solidarity

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son highly appreciated the programs and activities of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee in 2018, which have made important contributions to socio-economic development, maintaining security and order and enhancing the spirit of national solidarity.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that in the coming time, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels need to promote the achievements that have been made, continue to consolidate and effectively promote the strength of national solidarity;Actively participate in Party building and government building; coordinate to effectively implement grassroots democracy regulations and strengthen social supervision and criticism;Continue to implement the project "Innovation in information and propaganda work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front", proactively grasp the people's ideological situation to orient public opinion, not allowing hot spots and complications to arise at the grassroots level.

In addition, it is necessary to focus on effectively implementing the campaigns "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "Join hands for the poor", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods"... Well performing the core role of the Fatherland Front at all levels in people's foreign affairs. Especially promoting solidarity between the people of Nghe An province and the people of the three neighboring provinces of Laos.
