(BaoNghean) -Continuing the workshop program, this morning, May 8, the Ethnic Committee coordinated with the People's Committee of Nghe An province to organize a workshop on the effects and efficiency of newspaper and magazine publications provided to ethnic minority and mountainous areas, and areas with special difficulties in the period 2012 - 2015.
Attending and chairing the conference were comrades: Le Son Hai - Deputy Minister, Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Committee; Chu Tuan Thanh, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Ethnic Committee; Vuong Dinh Lap - Deputy Head of the Provincial Ethnic Committee. Also attending were representatives of the Ethnic Committee, prestigious people, village heads of some provinces in the Northern, Central and Central Highlands regions.

After 15 years of implementing the Prime Minister's decision on the policy of supporting press information serving ethnic minority, mountainous and particularly disadvantaged areas, newspapers and magazines have focused on propaganda with a focus and key points, exploiting the economic, political, cultural - social, national defense and security and ecological environment of ethnic minority areas, contributing to accelerating hunger eradication and poverty reduction, stabilizing life, preserving and promoting ethnic cultural values, raising vigilance and preventing propaganda arguments of hostile forces that take advantage of ethnic, religious, democratic and human rights issues to divide the great national unity bloc.

Delegates also frankly gave their opinions and proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of propaganda work, improve content, form, publishing and distribution work to ensure quality, serving ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas, especially difficult areas, border areas, and islands in the period of 2016-2020 and vision to 2030.

Many opinions say that the education level of the people is still low, so press publications need to increase illustrations and use language close to the lives of the people. Regularly review and supplement newspapers and magazines for newly emerging subjects, specifically village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people so that information in the press can reach the people more effectively. Along with that, the postal sector needs to identify the work of delivering newspapers and magazines to the people as a political task, so there needs to be solutions to overcome all difficulties, enhance the sense of responsibility so that press publications can reach the beneficiaries in time...
