Being present at the Cultural House of Hamlet 2, Nghi Lien Commune (Vinh City) - the first commune to achieve new rural standards last August, witnessing a hamlet meeting, I could see the excited spirit of the people when they were able to sit in a meeting in a spacious, clean and beautiful cultural house, fully equipped with ceiling fans, speakers, tables and chairs... Ms. Truong Thi Kim Lien - a resident of Hamlet 2 excitedly said: Before, the cultural house, the temporary campus, the lack of tables and chairs, no fans in hot weather... so we were afraid to come to the cultural house for meetings. Since the construction of the new rural area, with the support of the commune, the people have actively participated in rebuilding a synchronous cultural and sports institution system, with both a place for community cultural activities, organizing people's meetings, and a volleyball court, table tennis, badminton... for young people, the elderly, and children to play and entertain. These activities have helped the people become closer, more attached, and the village and neighborhood relationships are more solid...
Unlike other agricultural communes, where the season is over and people can rest, Quynh Luong commune (Quynh Luu) specializes in growing vegetables, so people are always busy with their fields. However, no matter how busy they are, at exactly 5 pm, all the yards at the Cultural House of 8 villages of the commune are bustling with the atmosphere of sports practice for many different ages. While wiping sweat after a volleyball match, Ms. Ho Thi Tam (village 2) said: In Quynh Luong, the movement of women playing volleyball has developed rapidly in recent years, especially since the system of cultural and sports facilities was invested in and built - becoming a meeting place for women after hard hours of farming. In order to have these regular activities, the women's association of the village has been actively involved in recent times, both promoting and encouraging, and thinking of what activities are rich and attractive to women, suitable for the area they are in charge of...
Talking with the hamlet chief Ho Trong Le, we learned that: With the current system of cultural and sports facilities, the cultural and sports needs of the people in the hamlet have been met. Currently, in addition to activities such as volleyball, badminton, health exercises, the mass art club... is a place for activities and meetings of the whole hamlet. Recently, we have restored the Ban village well - located in the cultural house - with a historical stele to become a relic of the hamlet. In the near future, we will restore the village activities previously associated with the village well such as the village festival in early spring, increase the activities of the mass art club of organizations such as the Women's Union, Youth Union, Veterans Association, Farmers' Association... At the commune level, after receiving the new rural status in September 2014, we are completing the final stages of the sports center, the commune's traditional house with a total cost of more than 5 billion VND - this will be the place to organize cultural and sports activities of the whole commune. And when this center is put into operation, the commune will cooperate with other communes to organize volleyball, badminton, table tennis, mass art, and rallies on major holidays of the commune.
Mr. Nguyen Van Minh - cultural officer of Hung Tan commune - the first commune of Hung Nguyen to reach the new rural finish line said: To further promote the new rural cultural institution system, the associations in the hamlets must first consider. Each association must think of ways to organize, how to do it, and what activities are rich and attractive to attract members to participate. For example, in addition to organizing meetings, the women's association should increase activities on "how to raise healthy children, teach good children", "Whispers by the pillow", family planning, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law stories, how to choose good food, how to plant trees effectively... The Youth Union should organize exchanges with exemplary young people or volleyball exchanges, organize more seminars on career guidance, choosing a career... In the near future, Hung Tan will closely coordinate with organizations and branches from hamlets to communes to discuss and agree to increase activities with content close to life, suitable for each age group, each generation...
