| On the morning of July 5th, the Ministry of Finance held an online conference to review financial and budgetary work in the first six months of the year and implement tasks for the last six months. Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue attended the conference. In Nghe An, Mr. Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - chaired the conference at the main location. Leaders from the following departments participated: Finance, Tax Department, Customs, State Treasury, and the Nghe Tinh Regional State Reserve Department. |
The government, ministries, and localities have strengthened the management and control of state budget revenue and expenditure in the first six months of the year; ensuring economy, strictness, and efficiency, meeting the requirements of budget-using units, national defense and security tasks, the operation of the state apparatus, and social welfare work.
By the end of June 2017, total national budget revenue reached over 563 trillion VND; total state budget expenditure reached over 582 trillion VND.
In Nghe An province, budget revenue for the first six months of the year is estimated at 5,634 billion VND; of which domestic revenue reached 4,964 billion VND, and revenue from import and export activities was 670 billion VND; budget expenditure is estimated at 10,278 billion VND (reaching 48.6% of the projected budget). The province is implementing many solutions to promote socio-economic development, increase revenue, and strictly control investment expenditures to ensure high efficiency.

In implementing tasks for the last six months of the year, the Ministry of Finance will continue to focus on perfecting institutions; promoting administrative reform, contributing to improving the business environment, strengthening management and strictly controlling public debt within permissible limits; implementing a tight fiscal policy, practicing austerity, and completing the tasks of state budget revenue and expenditure for 2017.
In his remarks at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue instructed the Ministry of Finance to proactively develop roadmaps and response plans for emerging situations; strengthen the management and use of capital; and have plans to ensure budget balance, meeting both planned and unexpected requirements, thereby contributing to accelerating the economic restructuring process.
In addition, it is necessary to strengthen market and price controls, and promote economic restructuring associated with the transformation of the growth model. The Deputy Prime Minister also requested that localities actively shift their economic development; accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital based on good management of budget expenditures, and promote growth.
