One of the important driving forces promoting the development of the farm economic model is that Do Luong district has planned and defined suitable economic development zones and has open mechanisms and policies for farm owners to access loans, quick land lease and receipt procedures, support for science and technology, output, etc., thus attracting more and more people to participate in investing in developing the farm economic model.

Mr. Tran Gia Thanh, Director of Bach Ngoc Transaction Office - Do Luong Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development said: "Implementing the coordination between the Farmers' Association and the Banking sector in promoting service activities, consulting, supporting farmers in economic development, emulating good production and business, Bach Ngoc Transaction Office has created favorable conditions for people to borrow capital to invest in economic development, especially farm economic models. Because operating in the upper Do Luong district has many advantages in developing the economic economy of forest plantation farms and developing concentrated livestock farming on a large scale, Bach Ngoc Transaction Office has always prioritized capital for this field. At many farms, currently due to problems in granting Land Use Rights Certificates, but after appraisal, the bank still decided to lend from 300 million to 1 billion VND and thereby creating very favorable conditions for farm owners to develop".

Currently, farm owners in the upper district of Do Luong, Giang Son Dong, Giang Son Tay, Ngoc Son, Lam Son, Boi Son, Hong Son, all have access to loans from the Do Luong Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development. To expand the model of raising free-range chickens of the Binh Dinh breed and raising wild ducks, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development - Do Luong Branch has decided to lend Nguyen Huu Duc 1 billion VND to invest in raising laying chickens and ducks, and build an incubator for breeding chickens. Mr. Ngo Tri Du's family in Giang Son Tay commune has also borrowed more than 400 million VND to develop cattle, goat, pig farming and combine with afforestation. Or the large-scale concentrated pig farm of Mr. Nguyen Van Hanh in Giang Son Dong commune, through a loan of 500 million VND from Bach Ngoc Transaction Office, has been effective. Also from a bank loan of 200 million VND, Mr. Cao Tien Son in Lam Son commune has successfully built a wild boar farming model...

Regarding specific models, we can mention the farm of Mr. Nguyen Huu Duc in Thuan Son commune. At first, he received 3 hectares of forest land (50 years) in Khe Nuoc area to grow perennial trees such as lat hoa, acacia... In 2011, thanks to learning from the experience of raising free-range chickens in Binh Duong and Cu Chi - Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Duc boldly applied the model of raising free-range chickens under the canopy of forest trees. The initial investment capital encountered many difficulties, the family had to borrow from friends, investment banks to hire excavators to dig up soil to improve the land, build fences, dig wells, bring electricity, buy breeds, buy food to raise 500 chickens. After 4 months of raising free-range chickens, after deducting all expenses, he earned 30 million VND. Such a large profit became the motivation for Mr. Duc to boldly invest in raising many more batches of chickens in large quantities.

During the breeding process, Mr. Duc's family chose to raise the Binh Dinh chicken breed, which has developed quickly and is very suitable for the farming conditions on the farm. After nearly 4 months, it can be sold. Each batch raises 1,000 chickens and in 1 year, the farm has sold 3 batches (3,000 chickens). From 2012 to now, thanks to the clear origin of the breed and the strengthening of epidemic prevention work, Mr. Nguyen Huu Duc's free-range chicken farm has been very successful. The products are known to the people in the area, and restaurants and hotels in the district have also ordered large quantities. Currently, Mr. Duc's family farm is raising thousands of meat chickens and breeding Binh Dinh chickens.

Successful with the chicken farm model, recently, Mr. Duc's family has also raised and hatched wild ducks thanks to the techniques learned in Cuc Phuong National Park. At the farm, the family invested in building 2 solid barns of 500 m2, including 2 breeding houses, 4 swimming pools, 4 playgrounds for wild ducks... creating a suitable living environment for wild ducks, so the family's duck flock has developed well. Wild ducks currently have a very large consumer market, the current selling price is from 250 - 300 thousand VND/bird. Along with the model of raising free-range chickens and wild ducks, Mr. Duc's family also raises porcupines in large quantities...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Xuan, Vice President of the Farmers' Association of Do Luong district, said: "In order to create conditions for the development of the farm economic model, every year, based on the targets, work plans of the association and the farmers' movement, the association always coordinates with sectors such as: District Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, District Bank for Social Policies, District Agricultural Extension Station, Plant Protection Station, Vocational College... to support people in completing procedures to create loans and entrust loans to serve investment in production development, livestock breeding, transfer of scientific and technological advances, and short-term vocational training for farmers.

Thanks to the good coordination between the association and the sectors in promoting the implementation of service activities, consulting and supporting farmers, from 2012 to 2014, the District Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has made documents to create loans of 1,300 billion VND for farmers to invest in production and business development, and the balance to date is 630 billion VND. The unit signed a loan entrustment at the District Bank for Social Policies with a total outstanding loan of more than 140 billion VND; organized 1,340 science and technology transfer sessions for more than 56,000 participants; opened 68 short-term vocational training classes in the fields of veterinary animal husbandry, aquaculture, mushroom growing techniques, agricultural machinery repair... for 2,250 farmer members; advised and mobilized 3,675 members and farmers to go abroad to work; establish a project to propose the Provincial Farmers' Association to help farmer members borrow capital from the Provincial Farmers' Support Fund with an amount of 1.8 billion VND to invest in building models such as: developing breeding sows, raising cows in the communes of Boi Son, Da Son, Thinh Son, Thuong Son, Thuan Son, Lam Son, carpentry development model in Thai Son, Hien Son communes, super lean pig farming model in Nam Son commune. In addition, we signed a loan for deferred payment of fertilizers to serve farmers in agricultural production with an average annual quantity of 1,500 - 1,700 tons of various types of NPK fertilizers...

One issue that needs to be mentioned: In the process of implementing the farm development goal, there are still some problems, especially in planning. Mr. Dang Anh Tuan, owner of a concentrated pig farm in Xuan Son commune, said: "Currently, the family's concentrated pig farm has up to 1,000 pigs. In addition, in some areas in the commune, many households invest in concentrated pig farms with a scale of 500 - 600 pigs and build farms close together, environmental pollution is inevitable. Therefore, in the planning of concentrated, large-scale livestock farming, it is necessary to be more suitable, at the same time, it is necessary to invest in wastewater treatment areas, organize scientific livestock farming to ensure environmental hygiene. Only then can the economy of livestock farms following this model develop sustainably"...

However, with the creation of favorable conditions for the development of farm economy, up to now in Do Luong there have been 261 models (including 148 farms and 113 farms), including 128 general business farms, 2 crop farms, 92 livestock farms, 16 aquaculture farms, 22 forestry farms with income of hundreds of millions of VND/year. The development of concentrated livestock farms has contributed to Do Luong's rapid increase in livestock herds with more than 43.7 thousand buffaloes, cows and 102.5 thousand pigs. Every year, farmers in the district maintain an aquaculture area of 1,500 - 1,600 hectares, of which 882 hectares are ponds, 685 hectares are intercropped with rice and 3rd crop fish. Obviously, with such strong development, the model of farm economy has become one of the important driving forces to promote the economy in Do Luong.
