Comrade Hoang Danh Lai:After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Hoang Mai Town, Quynh Luu became a purely agricultural district, requiring a quick solution to shift the economic structure to compensate for the "gap" in industrial development advantages. The district focused on adjusting and supplementing the overall socio-economic development plan, traffic network planning, Quynh sea tourism development plan to 2020, planning of towns, market towns, and industrial clusters. Focus on attracting investment projects in the industrial - handicraft and service sectors; focus on developing the marine economy, increasing investment in infrastructure construction, building new rural areas, promoting the development of commercial centers, regional markets, and commune markets. Comrade Hoang Danh Lai:In 2014, with the strong leadership and direction of the Party Committee, authorities at all levels, the consensus and efforts of the people and business community in the district, the socio-economic situation of Quynh Luu achieved many outstanding achievements, with 24/27 targets achieved and exceeded the plan. The economy continued to achieve a good growth rate: 6.83%: Total production value reached 7,586 billion VND, up 9.75% compared to 2013; average income per capita reached 24.51 million VND, up 14% compared to 2013; poor households decreased to 4.95%. Average crop production value/ha of cultivation reached 82.64 million VND, up 4.78 million VND compared to 2013; budget revenue reached 120.15 billion VND, exceeding 11.2% compared to the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Committee.

In 2014, Quynh Luu had 5 communes recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting the national NTM standards, including Quynh Luong, Quynh Hau, Quynh Nghia, Quynh Thach, and Quynh Doi. The NTM construction movement has been effectively promoted, receiving high response and consensus from the people. The district has implemented 84 concentrated construction investment projects with a completed volume value of 426.5 billion VND, approved 45 production and business investment projects with a total registered capital of more than 265 billion VND; focused on directing the site clearance work, especially the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 1A. Mineral resource management has been strengthened. Culture and society have many positive changes, people's lives have been improved, social security policies have been fully and promptly implemented. National defense, security, and politics are stable, social evils are controlled.
