I made an appointment to meet her several times, but only on the weekend did she manage to arrange the time. Her work schedule was packed from Monday to Sunday, from morning to afternoon, she was busy teaching students according to the program distribution; during breaks, she was busy imparting teaching methods to young lecturers, or answering questions from students; in the evening, after finishing housework, she sat at the table reading documents, gathering knowledge, struggling to find an outline for a new scientific work... “That’s my fate. I was born to work hard. The whirlpool of work keeps pulling me along. Even if I want to rest, I can’t... But I feel happy with that busyness. A day without reading books, without thinking, without worrying, feels lacking, boring, bland...” - Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan, Head of the Department of Political Theory, Nghe An College of Economics and Technology confided. Provincial leaders and delegates visited the booth displaying creative labor products of female teachers in the Education sector.

Overcoming the gender stereotype of "men build houses, women build homes", businesswoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan, Director of Xuan Thuong Company Limited, "shoulders both" as a good daughter-in-law, a good wife, and good at business. The company's annual revenue is approximately 1.5-2 billion VND, creating regular jobs for 50 workers. For many consecutive years, her company has been awarded the "Golden Cup for excellent products and services"; 5 times received certificates of merit from the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises; and many certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee and Vinh City People's Committee. In addition, she also actively participates in social activities, charity and humanitarian movements. What is precious is that her two children are now adults: the eldest daughter just graduated with a master's degree in economics in Beijing (China), the youngest son is a famous architect, received many awards from the Ministry of Education and Training, won first prize in innovation and scientific research competitions. She shared: “Modern women also have the “four virtues”, according to which, in addition to “virtue-beauty-speech-conduct”, the most important thing is to be “confident”. You must believe in yourself, be ready to overcome gender stereotypes, dare to think, dare to do, dare to believe in the ability to succeed.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan and Director Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan are just two of many women in Uncle Ho's homeland who have promoted the qualities of "confidence, self-respect, loyalty, and responsibility".

Self-respect is to value one's own dignity and honor. Trung hau means to be loyal, honest, and kind. Dam dang, according to the old concept, refers to a woman who is good at housework and good at taking care of family affairs. Nowadays, Dam dang is the ability to manage national and family affairs. A good woman is someone who knows how to balance family work and social work.

In the current period, promoting those moral qualities is even more meaningful. For women themselves, having those four qualities will help them overcome difficult challenges to become successful women in life and career, guiding women to live a good, beautiful and useful life. For each family, those four moral qualities help women fulfill their roles as good wives and good mothers, creating the foundation for building a prosperous, progressive and sustainable happy family. For the community, self-confidence - self-respect - honesty - responsibility help women fulfill their civic responsibilities, positively impact the community and society, and contribute to achieving the socio-economic development goals of the locality and the country.

Recognizing that important role, from 2009 to now, the Provincial Women's Union has implemented the Project "Propaganda and education on moral qualities of Vietnamese women in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country" with the content of 4 qualities: "Confidence, self-respect, loyalty, and responsibility". In particular, focusing on propaganda and raising awareness for women about the qualities of modern women; building "Women and Life" bookcases in wards and communes; establishing "Women with 4 standards" Club and organizing communication campaigns in the community. Every year, over 90% of women have access to improve their knowledge in all aspects, over 72% of members meet the 3 criteria of the movement "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families", 56,351 women have achieved the title "Good at public work, good at housework"; 14,608 women have been recognized as Emulation Fighters at all levels. Currently, the whole province has 5,630 enterprises owned by women. In addition, women participate in small-scale production, business and service sectors as farm owners, production complexes, shop owners, etc., contributing to local economic development. In the legislative field, female National Assembly deputies (term XIII) account for 23%; the percentage of women participating in the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee is 7.2%; the percentage of women holding the positions of chairperson and vice chairperson of the district People's Committee is 25%. In particular, in their role as "fire keepers", women have taken care of building "warm, equal, happy" families, with well-behaved, studious children, with the rate of Cultural Families reaching 80% of the total number of members.

Regardless of the field or position, the women always strive to complete the assigned tasks excellently, always consciously study, improve their qualifications, professional skills, produce well, and work well. Behind these examples, they have in common the will to rise up, creativity, dedication, and the desire to maintain family happiness. They are making women in Uncle Ho's homeland "Confident, self-respecting, loyal, and responsible", recognized, admired and respected by everyone.
