Promoting the role of the Veterans Association in the cause of innovation

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 25, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a conference to review the Veterans Ordinance. Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and spoke at the conference. Also attending were representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors and districts, cities and towns.

On October 7, 2005, the National Assembly Standing Committee passed the Veterans Ordinance. The Veterans Ordinance is the institutionalization of Resolution 09 of the Politburo, creating a legal corridor for the activities of war veterans and the Veterans Association... After more than 8 years of implementing the Veterans Ordinance, Party committees at all levels, authorities, and relevant departments in Nghe An province have done a good job of propagating and disseminating the Ordinance, providing professional training, building a sense of responsibility and attitude in implementing the Ordinance. Thanks to that, the results of building the Veterans Association at all levels have become increasingly stronger, and the operational efficiency has increased. The policies and regimes for war veterans have so far resolved a large volume, become routine, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and limiting errors and negative incidents.

Speaking at the summary conference, comrade Le Xuan Dai praised the spirit and contributions of war veterans and the Association of War Veterans in the years of fighting to protect the country as well as in the cause of building and developing the country and the province today. He affirmed: By implementing the Veterans Ordinance well, Nghe An has contributed to strengthening the trust of war veterans and people in the Party and authorities at all levels, encouraging the enthusiastic spirit of generations of war veterans to enthusiastically participate in performing tasks in the locality and contributing to the stability of political security and social order, contributing to doing well the people's foreign affairs with Laos...

Acknowledging the 8 enthusiastic opinions of the delegates in the discussion, comrade Le Xuan Dai requested the Department of Home Affairs to continue to complete the report on the basis of these opinions, especially the above proposals and recommendations, as well as for the province to make adjustments; requested Party committees, authorities, and sectors to continue to thoroughly implement the Ordinance better and better; Veterans' Associations at all levels to continue to perfect the apparatus in sufficient quantity and improve the quality of operations; Sectors at all levels to pay more attention to implementing policies for war veterans. The Vice Chairman of the province expressed his belief that war veterans and the War Veterans' Association will continue to promote the spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers, making many worthy contributions to the cause of building and developing the province.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai awarded certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee to outstanding collectives and individuals in implementing the War Veterans Ordinance.

At the conference, the People's Committee of Nghe An province awarded certificates of merit to 22 groups and 21 individuals who had made positive and outstanding contributions in the implementation of the Ordinance. The Association of War Veterans of Tuong Duong district was recommended by the Provincial People's Committee to be awarded a certificate of merit by the Prime Minister. The Association of War Veterans of the province also awarded certificates of merit to 6 other groups.
