Promoting the role of intellectuals in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country

(Baonghean.vn)On the morning of April 23, in Vinh City, the Provincial Party Committee had a working session with the working delegation of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations led by Dr. Phan Tung Mau - Vice President of the Union of Associations, to evaluate the results of Nghe An's 5-year implementation of Resolution No. 27 (Term X) on building a team of intellectuals in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country. Working with the working delegation, on the province's side, there was comrade Tran Cong Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office, and representatives of leaders of a number of relevant provincial departments and branches.

Implementing Resolution No. 27 of the 10th session on building a team of intellectuals in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee have issued many mechanisms and policies to create favorable conditions for intellectuals to assert themselves, develop, contribute and be honored. The province also pays attention to investing in facilities, has many policies to employ, treat and honor the team of intellectuals. At the same time, it promotes the responsibility of intellectuals, consolidates and improves the quality of activities of intellectual associations. Up to now, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations has 23 member associations with over 70,000 members, including 5,000 intellectuals. The Provincial Union has constantly innovated its content and methods of operation, carried out many practical and effective activities in disseminating knowledge, improving professional skills for members, mobilizing members to participate in scientific research and applying scientific and technical achievements to production and life, contributing to socio-economic development in the province.

At the working session, on behalf of the working delegation, Dr. Phan Tung Mau - Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations highly appreciated the policies and preferential treatment mechanisms of the province in implementing Resolution No. 27, Session X, hoping that in the coming time, the province needs to pay more attention and create more favorable conditions for the intellectual team to develop further.

He hoped that from the actual implementation of Resolution No. 27 in Nghe An, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations would recommend the State to review existing policies and issue new mechanisms and policies to ensure that intellectuals enjoy full material and spiritual values ​​corresponding to the value of creative labor; help the provincial Union access advanced technology and production techniques, programs and projects, and help the province promote industrialization and modernization in all fields./.
