US State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert resigns
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has announced the resignation of State Department Spokesperson Heather Nauert, thanking her for "two years of outstanding work" and congratulating her on her appointment as a member of the James William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.

Ms. Heather Nauert, a former TV host, officially holds the position of representative of the US State Department, but in the past few months, her duties have been carried out by Mr. Robert Palladino. Previously, some US media reported that the person replacing Heather Nauert's position in the foreign affairs agency could be Fox News expert Morgan Ortagus.
“On behalf of the entire State Department, I thank Heather Nauert for her two years of exceptional and distinguished service. She will be the perfect representative of the United States on the Fulbright Council!” Pompeo wrote on Twitter.
