Developing community tourism in Western Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of May 30, in Vinh City, the Center for Social Sciences and Humanities (Department of Science and Technology of Nghe An) organized a workshop on "Developing community tourism associated with hunger eradication and poverty reduction in Western Nghe An".

The workshop was attended by representatives of the Department of Science and Technology, the Center for Social Sciences and Humanities, the Project Management Board and related units in the province; experts and staff working in the tourism industry in the province (Department of Tourism, Tourism Promotion Information Center - Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tourism Group (Vinh University), Nghe An College of Culture and Arts, universities and colleges with tourism majors in the area, representatives of districts with related community tourism spots, and typical travel agencies.

At the workshop, there were many opinions discussing solutions to develop community tourism in Western Nghe An such as: Active participation of local communities, capacity building training for stakeholders, building strategic partnerships with businesses, developing unique products and services associated with preserving and promoting the cultural values ​​of ethnic groups, ensuring fairness in the distribution of benefits to community members, strengthening tourism promotion and propaganda work or solutions to integrate community tourism development plans into the province's tourism development plan...

Through many discussions and exchanges, the Project Management Board has received and taken advantage of the contributions of experts in the tourism field to complete the scientific project and soon put it into practice to develop community tourism in Western Nghe An, contributing to hunger eradication and poverty reduction.
