Infrastructure development, a new 'leverage' for Tan Ky
Tan Ky identifies the synchronous development of transport infrastructure and power grid system as two breakthroughs, creating "leverage" to help the district develop quickly and sustainably.
Many routes are upgraded
In previous years, in the districtTan KyMany roads are seriously degraded, affecting people's lives and the socio-economic development of the district. The most serious are the Huong - Phu - Hanh route; the road from Tan An to Dong Van; road 15A, from Lat town to Nghia Dung, Nghia Hop and some inter-commune routes in the interior such as Tien Ky, Phu Son, Tan Hop...

Faced with that situation, in the 2020-2025 term, Tan Ky district identified traffic development as the top important factor to promote local socio-economic development.
In mid-April, under favorable weather conditions, the construction unit urgently poured rocks, leveled, rolled, compacted the ground and poured asphalt on the Huong - Phu - Hanh route.
According to the reporter's records, along the entire length of more than 17 km, the bridge and culvert works on the route have been completed, the contractor has been working neatly. In parallel with the asphalt pouring on the road surface, drainage ditches have been built on both sides of the route. The contractor's representative said that by May 31, nearly 10 km of asphalt had been poured, and currently, the weather is favorable, so the construction progress is being accelerated.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, a resident of Phu Son commune, happily said: “Before, the dirt road was narrow and muddy when it rained, so no one wanted to go out. Now, the road through the commune has been paved, making it easy for people to travel by motorbike, bicycle, etc.
When the entire route is completed, it will only take people a few dozen minutes to get to Lat town, and children will no longer have to worry about mud and floodwaters cutting them off on their way to school, because permanent concrete bridges have been built across streams and creeks. More importantly, when traffic is convenient, people in this difficult area will have the conditions to develop their agricultural and forestry economy.
According to the Tan Ky District Project Management Board, after the Huong - Phu - Hanh traffic axis, the district road connecting Tan An commune to Dong Van commune has also been approved by the province for investment and upgrading. In early May, the District People's Committee opened the bidding and will soon start the project. The road from Tan An commune to Dong Van commune is 12 km long, with an investment of over 70 billion VND.
It is expected that in October, the district will implement the project to renovate and upgrade the traffic system and works on the route: Lat town to Lang Rao; Huong Son to Phu Son and Dong Van to Thung Mon, with a total length of 18 km, with a total investment of 108 billion VND, including the provincial budget and a part of the local counterpart. In addition, implementing the investment capital of the National Target Program, Tan Ky district has been pouring concrete on many village, commune and inter-village roads in the inner communes, creating favorable conditions for people to travel and develop the economy.

In addition, the N5 extended route connecting Hoa Son commune (Do Luong) to Ho Chi Minh road plays a particularly important role, creating a strategic breakthrough in infrastructure to promote socio-economic development for Tan Ky district.
Once completed, the route will create a traffic axis connecting Do Luong, Yen Thanh, Nghi Loc districts, etc. and Vinh city in the most convenient way. This is a condition for Tan Ky district to exploit the potential for economic development of forests, construction materials, and attract investment, creating a source of budget revenue for the locality.
In addition, Tan Ky district is also implementing projects to upgrade and repair irrigation works and main intra-field canals, ensuring irrigation for thousands of hectares of rice...
110kV grid project
People in Tan Ky district have always suffered from unstable and unstable power grid quality because there is no power grid or transformer station.110kVThis affects the district's investment attraction.
Therefore, when the Industry and Trade Department decided to build a 110kV power line and transformer station project in the area, Tan Ky district identified this as an opportunity for Tan Ky district to make new breakthroughs. The 110kV transformer station of Tan Ky district was built on the land area of Ky Tan commune, adjacent to Lat town.

It is known that the project to build the Tan Ky 110kV power line and transformer station is more than 26 km long, with a total investment of nearly 200 billion VND. In 2020, the project was basically completed. However, due to problems with site clearance in Do Luong district, the project has not been able to be energized. The Provincial People's Committee has also paid attention and directed Do Luong district to promptly clear the site at the remaining locations so that the project can continue to be built this year. In the near future, this power line and 110kV station will be put into operation, bringing joy to the people of Tan Ky district after many years of waiting.
Determining that infrastructure development is of great significance and is a premise for promoting local socio-economic development, in the past half term, with the strong direction of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the district's departments and branches have implemented many important projects. All resources are used reasonably, with focus and key points. In the coming time, the district will continue to propose and attract capital sources to invest in traffic development projects. In particular, with the orientation of making tourism a spearhead of economic development, the district focuses on investing in tourism infrastructure, focusing on main traffic axes, aiming to connect tours and routes to develop diverse types of tourism...
