Successful surgery for giant tumor

(Baonghean) - On August 7, Nghe An Oncology Hospital successfully performed surgery on a patient with a giant tumor weighing up to 1.3 kg. The patient, Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, 24 years old, in Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province, had a giant tumor whose size could not be measured by ultrasound.

Oncology Hospital used the technique of “Removing giant goiter with ultrasonic knife”. After 4 hours of surgery from 9am to 1pm, the surgery was successful, removing a giant tumor weighing up to 1.3kg. After 1 day of surgery, the patient’s health has now recovered, he can sit up and talk normally.
