Vietnamese travel film airs on American television
“Discover Vietnam with Martin Yan” - A 26-episode documentary series about Vietnamese cuisine and tourism will be broadcast in the US.
After nearly three years of waiting, the producer of the film “Discovering Vietnam with Martin Yan” (Martin Yan-Taste of Vietnam) and the cooperation unit Yan Can Cook (USA) announced that the official English version of the film has been agreed by the television stations KQED, PBS and APT to be broadcast on a network of more than 300 television stations across the United States from early September.
This is also the first documentary television series about Vietnamese culinary tourism invested in and produced by a Vietnamese producer that is allowed to be broadcast on famous international television channels in the US.

Sharing about this, chef Martin Yan said that he himself has made thousands of TV shows in the US. But this is the first time they have accepted a 26-episode series about Vietnamese cuisine and the country on television.
“With the quality of content and visual techniques, I am confident that after this series is broadcast on more than 300 broadcasting stations in North America, Vietnam will be the first choice of American and world tourists when thinking of Southeast Asian destinations,” said Mr. Yan.
Discover Vietnam with Martin Yan is a documentary television series about Vietnamese culinary tourism, consisting of 26 episodes, each 25 minutes long, broadcast on HTV7 channel in 2013.
In each episode, Martin Yan, as the host, takes an adventurous journey to explore many provinces from North to South and tells stories and his experiences about the friendly and hospitable Vietnamese people, the unique culinary specialties of Vietnam, and the breathtakingly beautiful landscapes of Vietnam.

The second series, titled “Discovering Vietnam with Robert Danhi,” aired every Friday night on HTV7, is also attracting the attention and research of many partners around the world. This not only brings positive signals to Vietnamese television producers but also opens up opportunities for strong promotion and stimulation for the Vietnamese tourism and culinary industries./.
