The delegation included comrades: Nguyen Quang Tung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies; Bui Dinh Long - Director of the Department of Health and representatives of the Provincial Party Committee Office, relevant departments and branches.

On the occasion of the 61st anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to the following units: Vinh Medical University, Cua Dong General Hospital, Endocrinology Hospital, Nghe An Pharmaceutical and Medical Supplies Joint Stock Company and Nguyen Minh Hong General Hospital.

Vinh Medical University currently has 8 functional departments, training 16 undergraduate and postgraduate majors. The training scale is increasing, the number of students is from 5500 - 6000 students participating in the study. The school always pays attention to scientific research, each year there are 1 - 2 provincial level topics recognized. The school currently has 2 campuses with an area of ​​over 31 hectares and is constantly expanding the training scale, improving the quality of teaching and learning.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to Nghe A Endocrinology Hospital - one of the leading hospitals in the country in effective diabetes examination and treatment, with more than 50% of its staff having university and post-graduate degrees. Every day, the hospital examines and treats 5,000 - 6,000 patients.

Recognizing the efforts of the staff of the Provincial Endocrinology Hospital, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son presented flowers of congratulations and hoped that the hospital staff would continue to promote positive changes, clearly define responsibilities to complete their tasks well.

Also this afternoon, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son visited and congratulated Nghe An Pharmaceutical - Medical Supplies Joint Stock Company. Over the past 55 years, the Company has continuously developed, improved equipment, and improved the lives of employees and workers. Currently, the company has more than 780 employees, with a retail system reaching all districts, cities, towns, villages, and hamlets in the province with more than 11,000 drugstores.
