Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee enjoys Great Solidarity Festival in Vinh City

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 15, Yen Vinh block, Hung Phuc ward, Vinh city organized a Great Unity Day in the residential area.Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong attended and shared joy with the officials and people of the bloc.

Yen Vinh block has been a provincial cultural unit for 18 consecutive years (1999 - 2017); the leading flag in all movements of Hung Phuc ward. In 2017, Yen Vinh block has carried out well the movement of helping each other develop the economy, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty and strive to become rich. The block has 228 households, many of which are well-off, rich and no poor households.

The movement to build a cultural life and practice a civilized urban lifestyle has always been well implemented by the people of the block: 224 households have been recognized as cultural families (reaching a rate of 98.2%); of which 209 households have been cultural families for 3 consecutive years, and 105 households have been recognized as sports families.

In recent years, the work of environmental protection, population and family planning, and child protection, care and education has been seriously implemented by the block. The work of encouraging learning and talent associated with building a cultural block has received positive responses from the people. In the 2016-2017 school year, Yen Vinh block had 52 excellent students at all levels, of which 2 students achieved national excellent students.

Sharing the joy and talking with the cadres and people of Yen Vinh block, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong warmly praised the cadres and people of Yen Vinh block for continuing the tradition of great solidarity to build a cultural block, contributing to the construction and development of the homeland and country in the current period.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed his hope that the people of Yen Vinh block will continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity to promote internal strength, build a more and more developed residential community; households will be more and more prosperous and happy; the block will be more and more peaceful, with a clean and green environment and landscape; contribute to building Hung Phuc ward, Vinh city rich, beautiful and civilized.

On this occasion, comrade Nguyen Van Thong, together with representatives of the leaders of the Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh province, Vinh city, Hung Binh ward and cadres of Yen Vinh block, visited and presented gifts to 3 policy families in the block - due to health reasons, they could not attend the Great National Unity Day./.
