Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics works in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of January 14, Lieutenant General Do Can - Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, along with representatives of the General Department of Politics, visited and worked with the Command of Military Region 4.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of the Military Region; Lieutenant General Vo Van Viet, Political Commissar of the Military Region chaired the reception. Also attending the reception were comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Military Region Command, and heads of agencies of the Military Region.

At the reception, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Military Region Command, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong reported to the Chief of the General Department of Politics the outstanding results of the Military Region's armed forces in recent times.

In 2016, the economic, political and social situation in the Military Region was basically stable; people's lives had many obvious changes. The quality of training and combat readiness was improved; agencies and units in the Military Region's armed forces always strictly and seriously maintained order and discipline, built discipline, and successfully completed all assigned tasks.

Lieutenant General Do Can acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Military Region 4's armed forces; at the same time, he also requested that in the coming time, the Party Committee and the Military Region Command continue to pay attention to leading and directing Party committees and commanders at all levels in the Military Region's armed forces to focus on well implementing political and ideological education; building political mettle and determination for officers and soldiers, successfully implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels; well implementing the plans according to the plan, strictly maintaining the on-duty regime, and being ready to handle situations when required.
