Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong inspected the work of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 4.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 18, Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the working delegation inspected the work of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 4 in districts along National Highway 7.
In Con Cuong district, the working group visited the family of Nguyen Thanh Yen in Vinh Hoan village, Bong Khe commune, one of the families that suffered a lot of damage caused by storm No. 4.

Mr. Yen’s family has 1.5 hectares of 4-year-old green-skinned grapefruit and this year is the first harvest season. Currently, the grapefruit trees have produced fruit, according to Mr. Yen, these fruits will most likely fall in the coming days and the damage will be up to hundreds of millions of dong.
Also in Con Cuong district, the working group inspected the landslide repair work on National Highway 7 through Cho slope, Lang Khe commune.

In recent days, this is a landslide site with a large amount of rock and soil falling down. Currently, a lot of water from the mountain flows onto the road and landslides continue to occur. Comrade Dinh Viet Hong requested that traffic units mobilize maximum machinery and equipment to clear the road surface, helping people travel smoothly.

In Tuong Duong district, comrade Dinh Viet Hong and the working delegation went to Tam Quang commune, one of the localities that suffered a lot of damage caused by storm No. 4.
Comrade Phan Thanh Hong - Head of Tam Quang Border Guard Station said: "At flooded areas in the commune, the border guards, police and militia are on duty 24/7; 55 households and their properties have been evacuated to safety. Currently, Tam Quang commune has no casualties. At deeply flooded areas on National Highway 7, the forces continue to closely monitor to support people in their travel and when the water rises, they will promptly stop it."

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong highly appreciated the efforts of the border guards, police and militia. He requested the forces to continue monitoring the weather, closely following the flooded areas and mobilizing maximum forces to ensure the safety of people's property, especially doing a good job of propaganda to avoid human losses.
